Thinking of cutting costs by skipping language specific versions of your website? Think again. A majority of consumers across 8 survey countries spanning the globe said they will bounce out of e-commerce websites that were unavailable in their native language. This, according to a survey conducted by OHT-Enterprise, a One Hour Translation (the world's largest online translation agency) company.
The survey, conducted in June 2015, was jointly carried out with Google Consumer Surveys based on a representative sample of 800 respondents - 100 each from the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Japan. Respondents answered the question "Have you ever left a website because it wasn't available in your native language?"
